Façade renewal overview

As part of the Institute’s investment in infrastructure renewal, work is underway to renew the façades of Buildings 4, 8, and 10 facing the MIT.nano building and President’s Courtyard (view a map of the area). The project team will continue to work closely with those occupants impacted by this necessary renewal.

Window installation activities along the façades facing MIT.nano has commenced. Removal of windows along the President’s Courtyard is scheduled to begin in June of 2018. Masonry work will continue along all façades throughout construction. Project hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with some overnight work expected. Noise and vibration are anticipated. Construction activities are scheduled to continue through the fall of 2018.
